About ZO Wines
Our philosophy is all about growing great grapes to make great wine. We start the winemaking in the vineyard, nurturing and guiding each variety to be the best expression of the place and time. We make wines moderate in alcohol, picked at the perfect ripeness, to deliver a balance of acidity, tannins and fruit.
We wont make wine unless we can control the farming practices. To that end we farm the majority of our grapes from our own vineyards and from a select few long term contracts where we have a special relationship with owners of world class vineyards.
The Triple Ten Vineyard was named for it's heavenly perfection of 10 acres. Ten in Japanese is Heaven, Ten is a perfect score, and the vineyard is just over 10 acres in size. Here we focus on Dry Creek Valley winners, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and a few other rhone and spanish varieities.
